I Hate Rain

I hate the rain because I can not ride my horse. If I ride her in the rain it gets all wet and slippery, it also gets very wet. When it rains we get stuck in the house and I like been outside in the lovely fresh air.

My Best Friend

I have a best friend her name is Mihi she is a horse. I love Mihi she is a very good friend. She has a kind and gentle nature and I can trust her and tell her everything because I know she can not tell anyone. When I ride her she does not put me in danger. She is a good jumper; I love the felling of flying over the jumps and galloping at the speed of wind and to hear it whistling in my ears.

The Old Shed

As we were cleaning out the old shed Dad asked Hannah & I if we wanted to light a fire to get rid of the rubbish. We said yes & got to work lighting the fire. First we went to the hay barn to get some hay to light the fire. When we had the hay we took it to the place where we were going to light it. We put the hay down & lit the match & put it to the hay & we had a big burst of flame. We started to put wood on the fire & it got bigger & bigger. We kept cleaning out the shed & putting hay on the fire until it got that hot that when we put small pieces of wood on it they would disappear into the flame. It took us a day to clean the shed right out. The next day we put all the rails up & divided it up into two loose box stables. (The two bottem pics are of Mihi in her new covers.)

My Acrostic Poem About Kiwis

Kind smart and silent
Intelligent little thing they are
When wild they are wonderful
In there own habitat they are best
So we should protect them as they are
Kiwis.

The Targa Rally

On the 24th October 2007 the Targa rally came to Whanga. It was really fun because we got to do things like border patrol, raffles, pancakes and whip cracking. I liked raffles best of all because we got to walk around and see all the cool cars. The Targa rally is when about 150 racing cars race from the bottom of the Douglas saddle to Whanga. It took one car 21minutes. Now that’s fast! It takes us about 40 minutes to get to Douglas. Just before the cars left Hannah and I went around and got the all the flash cars drivers to sign a photo of their car.
